Privacy Policy

Effective date: 9 October 2026

This policy explains what information Traitium collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Traitium is operated by The Traitium Ltd, which is responsible for the information described in this policy. Registered address: 7/F, Wang Cheong Enterprises Centre, 65-69 Chai Wan Kok Street, Tsuen Wan, New Territories, Hong Kong.

About the service

Traitium is an informational self-discovery tool built around a personality assessment. It is not a medical diagnosis, not a psychiatric assessment, and not professional psychological advice, and it is not an official MBTI instrument. Traitium is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or otherwise connected to The Myers-Briggs Company, the Myers-Briggs Foundation, or 16Personalities.

Information we collect

We collect only the categories of information listed below. The current version has no account registration.

  • Assessment answers. Your responses to the assessment questions, together with the scores and the generated profile they produce.
  • Country code. To show you prices in an appropriate currency and to apply the advertising-cookie rule for the country you visit from, we read the country code supplied by our network provider (Cloudflare) and store only that two-letter country code. We do not store raw IP addresses.
  • Email address. If you purchase a personalized report, your email address is captured by Stripe during checkout. We use it to send your receipt and the permanent link to your report, and for nothing else.
  • Payment record. For purchases, we keep a record of the amount, currency, payment status, and Stripe's payment reference. Your card details are entered into Stripe's checkout page and never reach our servers.
  • Anonymous usage analytics. We record how the service is used — for example, that an assessment was started or a report was viewed — together with an anonymous session identifier, timestamps, and, where present, referral information such as UTM parameters. These events are recorded through our own infrastructure. Advertising cookies and pixels are separate: in the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland they run only if you accept them, and elsewhere they run unless you turn them off (see “Advertising cookies and consent” below).
  • How you arrived and your type of device. At the start of a visit to Traitium, we record the page you landed on (without the rest of the link), the domain of the site that referred you (for example `www.google.com`, not the full address), any UTM campaign parameters, any ad click identifiers in the link you followed (Google `gclid`, `gbraid` and `wbraid`, X `twclid`, and the `fbclid` and `ttclid` identifiers that some other platforms add to links), the time of your first visit, and whether the visit came from a paid ad and on which ad platform. From the browser identification your browser sends (its user-agent), we keep only the device type (mobile, tablet or desktop), the browser name and major version, and the operating system name and, where the browser reports it, its major version. We do not store the full user-agent string or your IP address. This information is recorded through our own infrastructure, is copied to your assessment, and is shown with your order, so that we can see which campaigns and ads lead to purchases and, for purchases, report them to the ad platform (see “Purchase reporting to Google Ads and X”).

We do not collect any other technical data beyond what is listed above and in “Advertising cookies and consent”, and we do not sell your answers, your email address, or any other information about you.

How we use information

We use the information above only to:

  • operate the assessment and generate your results;
  • resolve and display prices consistently, and keep payment records;
  • apply the advertising-cookie rule for the country you visit from;
  • deliver purchased reports and send transactional emails (receipts and report links);
  • understand, in aggregate, how the service is used, so we can improve it;
  • measure which campaigns, ads and referring sites lead to completed assessments and purchases;
  • report purchases that came from an ad to that ad platform (Google Ads, X), so that it can measure the ad's performance;
  • meet obligations connected to payments where applicable; and
  • respond to your requests about your own data.

We do not use your assessment answers for automated decision-making about you, and we do not use them to build advertising profiles.

How your results are protected

Your results are not published anywhere and no public profile is created for you. Results are reachable only through links that contain a long, randomly generated, cryptographically secure token. Result pages are excluded from search engines. Anyone holding one of your result links can view that result, so treat your links as private and share them only with people you choose.

Third parties

We share information only with the processors we need to run the service:

  • Stripe processes payments. When you check out, Stripe handles your card details under its own privacy and security policies. We receive your email address, the payment outcome, and the payment reference from Stripe — never your card details.
  • Cloudflare delivers our website and protects it against attacks. Your connection, including your IP address, passes through Cloudflare, which tells us only your country code.
  • A transactional email provider delivers our receipt and report-link emails on our behalf.
  • Google (Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads) and X receive information from your browser only while advertising cookies are on — in the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland only after you accept them — as described in the next section. Separately, for paid orders that arrived through their ads, our servers report the purchase to Google Ads and X (see “Purchase reporting to Google Ads and X”).

We do not otherwise sell, rent, or share your information with third parties, and we do not disclose your individual answers or results to anyone except as required by law.

Advertising cookies and consent

To understand which ads and campaigns bring visitors to Traitium and lead to purchases, we use these measurement tools from Google and X:

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google) receives page views of our public pages (the page path only) and a few progress events, such as that an assessment was started, reached question 10 or was continued — never your answers or results. Google signals and ad personalization are turned off.
  • Google Ads (the Google tag) measures which Google ads lead to purchases: it keeps the ad click in a cookie on our site and records the purchase on the payment confirmation page, as described below. Ad personalization is turned off.
  • The X pixel (X) records visits to our public pages, so that we can measure which X ads bring visitors.

We use no other advertising or analytics tools from third parties. If we add one, we will update this policy, and if you have already made a choice in the cookie banner, we will ask you again.

  • In the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland: only with your consent. If you visit from one of these countries, or we cannot tell which country you are visiting from, these tools load only after you select “Accept” in the cookie banner. Until then, and if you select “Reject”, none of them is loaded and they set no cookies.
  • Everywhere else: on unless you turn them off. If you visit from any other country, no cookie banner is shown when you arrive and these tools load by default. You can turn them off at any time: open “Cookie settings” at the bottom of each page and select “Reject”. From then on they are no longer loaded, and the cookies and similar data they stored in your browser for our site are removed.
  • What they receive. While these tools are on, these partners may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser and receive the address of the page you are viewing, information about the ad you clicked (such as a click identifier), and technical browser and device information that their tools collect themselves. When a purchase is confirmed, your browser tells Google (Google Ads) that a purchase took place, with its amount, currency and our order number, so that it is counted only once. This follows the same rules as above: from the EU/EEA, the UK or Switzerland, or if we cannot tell which country you are visiting from, only if you have selected “Accept”; from anywhere else, unless you have selected “Reject”. The X pixel only records visits to our public pages.
  • What they never receive. Your assessment answers, scores, results, reports and result links are never shared with them, and neither is your email address, not even in hashed form. The tools never run on your result or report pages. On the payment confirmation page only the Google tag runs, and it records only the purchase, after the link to your report has been removed from the page address.
  • Your choice. When you select “Accept” or “Reject”, your choice is stored in your browser, together with the version of this notice and the partners it covers, and it applies whichever country you visit from; if we add a partner, we ask again. Until you choose, nothing is stored and the rule for the country you visit from applies. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of each page. If you withdraw consent or select “Reject”, the tools are no longer loaded, and the cookies and similar data they stored in your browser for our site are removed.
  • The partners' own terms. Google processes the information it receives under its privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and X under its privacy policy (https://x.com/privacy). Both may process it outside your country or region.

Purchase reporting to Google Ads and X

If you arrived through a Google or X ad and then buy a report, our servers report that purchase directly to the ad platform, so that we can measure which ads lead to purchases.

  • What is sent. Our order number, the amount and currency you paid, the time of the purchase, and the ad click identifier from the link you followed (Google `gclid`, `gbraid` or `wbraid` to Google Ads; X `twclid` to X). Nothing else: no email address (not even in hashed form), name, IP address, device details, assessment answers, scores, results or report links.
  • Independent of your cookie choice. This reporting runs from our servers for every paid order that carries an ad click identifier, whatever you chose in the cookie banner. This applies to visitors from every country and region, including the EU/EEA and the UK. The banner controls only the tools that run in your browser (see above). The reporting sets no cookies and loads nothing in your browser.
  • Refunds. If an order is refunded, we ask Google Ads to withdraw the purchase where Google allows it. X offers no way to withdraw a reported purchase, so a purchase reported to X stays counted there.
  • Only when enabled. Nothing is sent unless we have enabled reporting for that platform, and orders without an ad click identifier are never reported.
  • The platforms' own terms. Google and X process the information they receive under their own privacy policies (https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://x.com/privacy), and may process it outside your country or region.

Data retention

We keep information only as long as described here:

  • Assessment answers, results and reports are kept until you ask us to delete them, so that your result and report links keep working. Deleting them invalidates your result links.
  • Order and payment records (order number, amount, currency, payment status, Stripe's payment reference and the email address used at checkout) are kept for seven years after the purchase, because Hong Kong law (the Inland Revenue Ordinance) requires business records to be kept for that period.
  • Email delivery records, analytics events and the visit and device information described above are kept as long as we need them to provide support and improve the service. They contain no IP addresses, and we delete them on request.
  • Server logs are rotated automatically and contain no IP addresses, no query strings and no assessment answers. Our servers use your IP address only briefly, in memory, to limit excessive requests, and never store it.
  • Your cookie choice is stored in your browser until you change it or clear your browser's data.

Your rights and requests

You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct or delete it. For example, you can request deletion of your assessment answers and results, which will invalidate your result links. Where you live, applicable privacy law may give you additional rights.

To make a request, email us at support@traitium.com. Requests are handled by email; we do not offer a postal request service. We may need to verify that the request relates to your own data before acting on it. When we delete your data, we still keep the order and payment records that the law requires, for the period stated above.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the updated version on this page and set a new effective date. For material changes we will also note the change on the site so it is not missed. How we collect and use information is always described by the current version of this page.
