How Traitium differs from four-letter type tests
Four-letter type tests sort people into one of 16 combinations. Traitium measures the same four familiar axes as continuous 0–100 scores, adds ten more dimensions and does not assign a type. Your type gives the outline; your measured traits reveal the detail.

What a four-letter result summarizes
A four-letter result looks at four familiar contrasts: where you draw energy, how you take in information, how you make decisions and how you like to organize your life. It records which side you lean toward on each, and the four letters together point to one of 16 combinations.
That makes it a memorable shorthand. Many people know their letters, use them to talk about themselves and recognize friends and colleagues in the descriptions. For a lot of people, it is where thinking about personality begins.
Categories and continuous scores
A letter shows which side of an axis you are on. A score shows how far. On a 0–100 scale, someone at 52 and someone at 95 lean the same way but may live that preference very differently, and the score keeps that difference visible.
Many people sit near the middle on at least one axis. A middle score is not a failure to choose; it often means both sides come naturally. Traitium reports the score as it is and does not round it into a letter.
Same letters, different people
The two Trait Maps below belong to two fictional people who would share the same four letters. Their familiar axes look alike, yet their profiles clearly diverge, most of all in the dimensions beyond those four. They are illustrations, not real users, and neither profile is better than the other.
Illustrative example: two fictional people who both identify as INFP.

Ten dimensions beyond the four axes
Traitium also measures risk tolerance, independence, leadership, emotional sensitivity, conflict style, curiosity, social confidence, adaptability, planning intensity and decision confidence. They often shape everyday life as much as the familiar four: how you handle a disagreement, how you feel when plans change, how firmly you stand by a choice.
Some of them sit close to a familiar axis but measure something different. Social confidence is separate from social energy, so someone can lean introverted and still feel completely at ease on stage. In the same way, planning intensity is separate from structure preference, and decision confidence from decision style.
Using both together
If you already know your four letters, there is no need to set them aside. Your type gives the outline; your measured traits reveal the detail. Traitium is not a re-test meant to confirm or overturn a type. It looks at the same ground at a finer scale and adds the areas a four-letter code does not cover.
The Traitium test has 50 questions and takes about 8–10 minutes. Your basic profile, with a score for each of the 14 dimensions, is free; a more detailed personal report is available as an optional purchase.
